Ex-SS man admits slaying three
Germany: A former member of the nazi SS on trial for murder has admitted that he killed three Dutch civilians during WWII.
Heinrich Boere acknowledged in Aachen state court on Tuesday that he had killed a bicycle-shop owner, a pharmacist and another civilian.
He said that he had acted “with no feeling that I was committing a crime,” but claimed he now “sees things from a different perspective.”
The 88-year-old said that as a soldier he was simply following orders, an argument that his legal representatives are likely to try to use to win his acquittal.
