10,000 British soldiers unfit for operations [Peace and war, Medicine, health] — Administrator @ 10:15 pm

The deployment of its troops in combat zones of Iraq and Afghanistan has taken a toll on the fitness of British soldiers as more than 10,000 of them are unfit for frontline duty.

“One in 10 soldiers are now classified as unfit for operations, a higher proportion than at any time since the start of the Iraq war in 2003,” the Sunday Telegraph reported.
