Tonight’s soccer match at the European championship, between Italy and the Netherlands, surprised many pundits.
Many people expected Italy, the world champions, to be one of the favourites. While many people, including in the Netherlands, did not expect so for the Dutch football team.
However, during the first 45 minutes, first Ruud van Nistelrooy, then Wesley Sneijder, whose birthday it is today, both scored a goal.

After both goals tonight, fireworks were ignited in the Netherlands.
There even came a chance for 3-0, which went too high, however.
In the second 45 minutes, Italy attacked more.
However, this gave Giovanni van Bronkhorst, of Moluccan ancestry, the chance to score 3-0.
There even came a chance for a fourth Dutch goal. However, it stayed 3-0.
