Seriously though, there was a comparable and vocal crowd cheering him on. History will either white-wash him or condemn him based on the events he has set in motion. I think he will be remembered very poorly… i also would have thought Carter would have been also, but that isn’t the case.

Hi James, the standard expectation is that if a President of the USA starts the new baseball season, everyone in the audience will cheer … or at least that those who do not want to cheer will keep silent.
That a very big part (listen to the video) of the audience booed Bush shows that Bush is an exception to that standard expectation. Sport crowds do not have a reputation of being especially political; which makes it more remarkable.
