Blijdorp zoo in Rotterdam recently became the proud owner of a couple of Pacific giant octopuses.See also here.According to the zoo, they probably are the only specimens of this species in Europe. Blijdorp will try hard to get these special animals to produce offspring, as the first zoo anywhere in the world.
