Call for peace in Iraq
6:00AM Monday July 16, 2007

A large group of people gathered in Aotea Square yesterday to call for peace in Iraq.

Ethnic Affairs Minister Chris Carter addressed the group, which included members of the Iraqi Christian community.

The gathering was organised to appeal for the protection of Iraq's Christian minority from persecution and to call for peace in the country.</description>
