Video on prehistoric Australian giant lizard [Reptiles] — Administrator @ 7:51 pm

Megalania, skeleton reconstruction

Until about 45,000 to 15,000 years ago, there lived in Australia a very big monitor lizard, much bigger than the Komodo dragon, the biggest lizard species of today.

Estimates are from 5.5 to 10 meter size.

Its name is Megalania, or Varanus priscus.

A video on this prehistoric Australian giant lizard is here.

Text is in Spanish, but if you are not good at Spanish, the images speak for themselves.
